WordPress – how to make a post sticky on home page

By admin on Dec 4, 2015

In wordpress you can make any post sticky and make it appear on home page at top even when there is more recent posts. Here are quick steps to achieve this.

  1. Edit the post in wordpress and click on Visibility Edit link in Publish window.
    wordpress-publish-visibility-edit-link
  2. This will expand publishing option. Select the checkbox for “stick this post to the front page” as shown below:
    wordpress-post-edit-sticky-checkbox
  3. Click on Publish button and verify that the post appears on home page as first post.

Please note that in case your home page is served by cache, you either need to clear the cache or wait for sometime till the cache expires.
